Neighborhood Guide : Beverly Hills Simple white umbrellas, crisp linen tablecloths, smooth cutlery,
and sparkling glassware adorn the outdoor patio and add to the impression that one has been invited to a sophisticated
private dinner party being thrown by wealthy but unpretentious friends.....Executive chef Erik Ritter is as charming as he is
enthusiastic about his food. With the sensibility of a true artist, he is not afraid to experiment unsing traditional ethnic foods
from Persia, Mexico, Korea, India and Vietnam....

Insider's Los Angeles: The Crescent is a Beverly Hills find, a little stucco hotel
with a fun bar, outdoor living room, and minimalist-chic rooms (each with a loaded iPod mini).

Mingle Tuesdays at Boé: Once each week Boé at the Crescent hotel offers up an art exhibition called "Mingle", complete with a rotating
roster of artists, a DJ, and of course, dinner/bar service. In July the restaurant will host various talents , including animation
artist Devin Crane and mixed-media aficionado Shawn Savage.

Foodies Summer 2005: Boé at the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills delivers up a hearty serving of
American fare in a setting that is smack-dab in the middle of the American Dream capitol. Executive chef Erik Ritter adds such
fare as short ribs, flatiron steak and seared scallops to the party....for me and my guest the standout items were definitely the
pistachio crusted halibut with buttery haricots verts with a red pepper coulis adding an unexpected dash of color and flavor to an
otherwise starkly simple plate as well as indulgence-worthy garlic fries and some lovely homespun "soup of the day" specials. The extras include the obscenely
fabulous desserts (a butterscotch pot de creme, hot chocolate torte and key lime pie) and rainbow-hued martini flights (we savored the
Sex Kitten, Zen, Eat-a-Peach, and Naughty-but-Nice cocktails).

Hotel Sweet: A glass-fronted fireplace in an indoor/outdoor living room. A personal iPod Mini minibar. Wine tastings and cooking classes.
Yes, The Crescent, Beverly Hills is not your average hotel. While some boutique properties try to pack in guests like marbles in a
jar, the 40-room Crescent gives you space to relax in intimate, unique surroundings....

"You know you've come across a truly devoted entrepreneur when you enter hotelier Gregory Peck (no, not
that Gregory Peck) and loungeSleep's current office space. Trudging up crooked and broken stairs to the
second floor of a dilapidated building felt a bit off-putting, particularly given the firm's fancy website and the posh reputation
of their property, The Crescent in Beverly Hills. But as soon as we hit the landing and were warmly welcomed by Greg into the office's
cozy front room - that feels more like a dorm room with three desks facing into the middle - and were told that we are actually being
given a sneak preview of the very site of his latest hotel project; The Cooper Square Hotel set to open in Spring 2007, all trepidation subsided....."

The Crescent makes the 2004-2005 list of the world's
sexiest hotels.
Boston Sunday Herald, April 24, 2005
Hotels lively and Luxurious: "If streamlined equals cool to you, choose the Crescent Hotel at 403 N. Crescent.
Like the rooms - furnished in a pleasing minimalist design that any devotee of feng shui principles will applaud - dining in this hotel's restaurant is strong on fresh ingredients presented simply."

Indulgences: Ricardo Chavira, who plays the sexy, suave and shady Carlos Solis on TV's hottest show,
Desperate Housewives, exclaims "Incredible", in his most seductive
spanish accent as he takes a bite of the contemporary food at Boé restaurant in the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills "I really love the courtyard here....the pillows, the enclosed fireplace that's used
on the inside as well as the outer courtyard. It's so inviting and very private."
Venice Magazine - March 2005
"Beverly Hills has always been Mogul Metro, but when new owners hired designer, Dodd Mitchell,
to redo the Beverly Crescent Hotel, built in 1926, he turned the renamed Crescent Hotel into the Hipster Heaven. The rooms are done
up in Italian linens, concrete finished bathrooms, and entertainment centers with DVD-CD players and Apple iPod minis loaded with
custom Crescent playlists.
At the hotel's restaurant
Boé (an acronym of Bacchus, Orpheus and Epicurus), the party gods
of Greek mythology, a semi-private dining room overlooks a lounge with a fireplace, white sofas wrapped around a corner, and a few dining
tables. French doors extend the space onto a sexy private patio where young things drink signature martinis like the Sex Kitten,
the Naughty or Nice, and the String Bikini. Instead of a happy hour, guests attend "mingles" on the first and third Tuesdays of each month and
return on Thursdays to "Come Play at the Crescent" when a live DJ is in residence. "
Wall Street Journal - March 18, 2005
"
Take Offs & Landings: In Beverly Hills, the Crescent hotel encases iPods in a
Lucite shell and bolts them to guestrooms' desks. "You'd really have to work to bust it out," says a hotel spokeswoman.

the vibe: When Courtney Cox & David Arquette want to dine in a mansion
away from home, they head to Boé. The restaurant, located at the Crescent Hotel, a 40 room Beverly Hills hideaway,
has a bachelor-pad feel thanks to leather sofas, shag rugs, a groovy soundtrack and a playful menu.
where to sit: Dine alfresco, the way Elizabeth Hurley and Mena Suvari each do, on the candlelit front patio. If
the fireplace isn't providing enough warmth, ask the waiter for a blanket.
what to order: Try Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's favorite, the mini curry burgers served with a tamarind chutney ($15).
For dessert unleash your inner Girl Scout: Order the tableside campfire s'mores, complete with graham crackers, marshmallows
and melted chocolate ($10 for two people), so you can make your own. Also, the french toast with apple-banana compote is a must for
Sunday Brunch.
Top it off with a mimosa and call it a day.

"At posh hotels, iPod a high-tech mint on the pillow....Out West, The Crescent in Beverly Hills
features an iPod Music Minibar in each room. The 40-room hotel, which has a lounge-bar theme,
introduced the gadgets [ fully loaded with music from
Gray V ], and installed speakers, last year. The devices there also come preloaded
with music, with a focus on jazz, lounge and electronica.

Beverly Hills Stop - So you're down and out in Beverly Hills and hankering for a minimalist hotel room with a flatscreen tv, a bottle
of Norwegian spring water and a varnished-concrete bathroom. Oh, and add to that a selection of hipster magazines
by the bed and indie-dance CDs still in their plastic wrappers. The newly opened 40-room Crescent in Los Angeles' golden
triangle is where you can get them all as well as your hip-hotel kicks. The interiors are designed by LA impresario Dodd Mitchell,
the man responsible for Justin Timberlake's Chi and Ashton Kutcher's Melrose digs Dolce. The Crescent features typical Dodd Mitchell
decor -- polished pebbles, tealights and ivory leather chaises longues. It's the new place in town to strike a film deal next to the
glass-fronted outdoor fireplace.
Food and Wine - April 2004 (p.47)
"Best New Hotels - The Crescent: No two rooms are identical at this hotel that feels more
like a jet-setter's mansion. The mod decor includes minimalist concrete vanities in the
bathrooms and an indoor-outdoor lobby lounge that has become one of the hottest happy hours
for the Rodeo Drive crowd."
Surface Magazine - November 2003 (p.141)
"The recently opened 40-room Crescent Hotel, designed by commercial interior designer of the moment Dodd Mitchell,
is a welcome addition to the mid-priced small hotels market. The central Beverly Hills location, the vaguely modernist
decor, and the Hollywood deal maker friendly indoor-outdoor restaurant, dubbed "BOE", are enough to ensure that the Crescent
will be a hit with visitors to the City."
Elle Magazine - November 2003
"
Hip and Tuck: Behind the Crescent hotel's classy Beverly Hills facade lurks Dodd Mitchell's sleek decor. [Dodd] Mitchell
designs the half of LA that Kelly Wearstler doesn't."
Nylon Magazine - October 2003 (Beverly Hills Haven, p.140)
"Less like a hotel than a group house for
fashion-forward SoCal travelers, the Crescent feels like a family -- if your family favored Norwegian spring water and knew
hip L.A. like the back of their hand. The cozy and highly air-conditioned rooms come rigged with flat screen DVD players and
showers that could blow the self-bronzer off a Rodeo Drive spa victim. The Boe lounge and restaurant, which spills out of the
lobby and onto the hotel patio, serves up a street-food-inspired menu to leather-trousered Hollywood types and tussled Silver Lake
artists alike. Best of all, the staff is so nice, they'll hustle at 6 in the morning to brew you the stiffest cup of coffee you've ever
had so you can drag your hung-over asses to the airport when the party's over. Not that we know from experience..."
Dwell Magazine - October 2003 (Hotels 101, p.140)
"California neocolonial exteriors can be forgiven
only when they hide an indoor-outdoor courtyard where you can have drinks at attractive tables and benches or, if it's
a breezy evening, sit by the fire. The Crescent, designed by Dodd Mitchell Design, is thus graced. With in-room spa services,
a library of DVDs and CDs, and cooking classes available, you might not even have time to visit local architectural attractions
like Schindler's King's Road House or Ghery's new Walt Disney Concert Hall downtown."
Daily Candy LA - July 18, 2003
" Hotels are funny things. They're meant to be destinations for out-of-towners but just as often become havens for locals, too.
Take new hotel the Crescent in Beverly Hills. At first glance, an excellent, centrally located spot for visitors to hang their
hats while in our fair city. Forty deluxe rooms, stocked with top-notch amenities (plush bathrobes, wireless Internet access,
Italian sheets), start at a reasonable $149 per night.
