I passionately believe in hospitality. I have developed a strong view that modern travelers are seeking more than just design hotels. they seek a unified experience and are fundamentally focused on being served by warm and welcoming staff. people now demand well designed hotels along with true pampering reminiscent of the service associated with the hotels of a bygone era.

modern society demands true hospitality and stimuli for all senses of sight, sound and touch. my view is that modern luxury transcends all property types and relates mainly to making people feel special and relaxed within a unique sense of space.

at the crescent, we seek to simultaneously create an environment in which people feel as comfortable as they would in their own home, while also feeling transported to somewhere special. we want our guests to live with us instead of simply being actors on our stage. our goal is first and foremost to take care of our guests with sincere personal attention. we truly enjoy getting to know the people who stay with us, and treating them all as new friends. visitors to the crescent will enjoy our beautiful spaces, our unique amenities, our special restaurant and the interesting people they meet while staying with us. our primary goal is to take care of the needs and desires of anyone who comes to our property.

we look forward to seeing you soon.

the crescent was developed and is owned and managed by peck moss hotel group. peck moss acquires, develops, and manages unique hotel properties. peck moss is dedicated to creating modern hotels that become destinations for travelers and local clientele seeking special environments in which to socialize, eat, lounge and sleep. peck moss also develops innovative restaurant and bar concepts at each of its hotel properties. peck moss aims to appeal to the sophistication of the modern and active traveler by marrying innovative design along with high end service to provide compelling alternatives to traditional hotels.

modern hotels in international cities accommodate and even encourage a new form of luxury, not only offering a place to stay, but, through their design, amenities and sense of theater, also provide its guests with an escapist experience. while hotels generally have been reinvented and re-imagined for nearly 200 years, there is a clear demand for fresh new hotel concepts beyond traditional business hotels. unique hotels resonate with people like few other buildings since they accommodate all aspects of life and often serve as cultural gathering areas. as travel and tourism become more essential to modern life and as borders continue to fall, allowing people to travel anywhere and anytime, people will demand new, visceral hotel experiences. the boutique hotel industry, nevertheless, remains in the infancy stage of development.

peck moss's fundamental business plan is to capitalize on the market opportunity of expanding the independent hotel industry. peck moss plans to expand its brand nationally and internationally with an initial focus on major u.s. domestic urban locations. peck moss will also pursue third party management contracts, unique joint venture opportunities, hospitality and real estate related consulting assignments and franchise opportunities. peck moss will target properties in so called international gateway cities which can become 'anchor' properties that can be profitable and help promote its brand. peck moss also will pursue properties in secondary markets which it identifies as having both a strong economic foundation and a lack of unique hotel properties.

peck moss is currently building a new hotel in the heart of downtown new york city which first manifestation of a new hotel brand we are introducing based on our concept of "Downtown Luxury" - the marriage between high end luxury service (reminiscent of the Grand Dame hotels) with sophisticated contemporary design. peck moss is working with the acclaimed architect Carlos Zapata on the building design and the world renowned designer Antonio Citterio on the interiors. peck moss has been capitalized at both the management level and at the property level for both the Crescent hotel and the Cooper Square hotel development project. peck moss's strong financial partners will enable the company to expand its current businesses and grow into new businesses, thereby extending the peck moss brand to other hotel markets.

gregory peck founded the peck moss hotel group in 2001. mr. peck has been intimately involved with the design, operation, acquisition and development of unique hotel properties. mr. peck oversaw all aspects of the acquisition, renovation and management of the crescent hotel.
